The latest logo, unveiled after a massive PR and Branding exercise in 2013 is the visualzation of the alphabet “M”, with theree equal divisions that point upwards, with the edgy tagline “ Rise”.



Established in 1945, Tata Motors manufactured its first passenger car in 1954 under collaboration with none other than the mighty Dailmer Benz. Standing today as Indias largest commercial vehicles manufacturer, the Tata Motors understands the taste of consumers and that is the reason why the company updated its logo with time. The present logo of the company was adopted in the year 2000 with a three dimensional alphabet “T” and was designed by the famous Bfitish Design firm, Wolff Olins. The logo symbolizes adaptability, fluidity and a tree of trust.



One of the most recognisable automobile logos throughout the world, FIAT is the short form for Fabbrica Italiana di Automobili Torino and has been recently redesigned in 2006, although the company started making cars in 1889.Today Fiat India is the ninth largest car manufacturer in India and operates under FCA India Ltd. That was formed in 1997.



One of the most recognisable automobile brands in the world, BMW is the short form for Bayerische Motoren Werke; The BMV Logo consists of 4 blue and white quadrants depicting the colours of the Bavarian Free State.With its own manufacturing facility at Chennai, BMW is among the fastest growing Luxury car brands in India having its headquarters in Gurgaon, Haryana.

The logo of Mercedes Benz, designed by Gottlieb Daimler indicating the three pointed star meant the complete dominance of the automobile giant in Land, Air and Sea as its vehicles run in all three environments. The Four Ceiling Ring logo of Audi signify the four manufacturers of the Auto Union-Horch, DKW and Wanderer.The recently added tagline “ Vorsprung durch Technik” means “Progress Through Technologies”. Audi India Pvt. Ltd. was founded in 2007 and is based out of Mumbai, Maharashtra.



The Japanese automaker Honda has been able to become one of the most popular brands as well as the most recognisable symbol in a very short period of time. Started by Soichiro Honda, the brand’s lohio has the Roman Alphabet H in the liver grey metallic tone. One of the largest Automobile companies in the world, the Toyota logo is universally recognised symbol of Japanese precision, great quality, innovation and value. The present Toyota Logo was launched in 1989 and depicts three two overlapping ovals, signifying the hearts of the customer and the company in unison, which is inside a third oval signifying the world embracing Toyota. Currently the fourth largest car manufacturer in India, Toyota operates in India under the name of Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. and is headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
